JW Marriott Grosvenor House on Park Lane in London exclusive Mayfair is a luxury hotel with 5-star amenities. This historic hotel with nearly 500 rooms is just moments from Hyde Park, Oxford Street, Buckingham Palace. The venue hosts several esteemed dining and drinking venues; namely The Red Bar and the famed Park Room known for memorable afternoon teas. Those hosting events in London have the opportunity to use Europe’s largest ballroom.

The hotel brief required a signature dining restaurant that also could provide breakfast and lunch dining options at different meal periods in the day. What evolved was the JW Steakhouse a classic steakhouse restaurant perfect for a casual bite after work or an important dinner with colleagues. Using an American Steakhouse format that features exclusively sourced USDA steaks complemented by the finest beef from the British Isles, the restaurant and bar catered to a new generation of local business people, local residents, politicos, and hotel guests with a subtle nod to the rich history and esteemed clientele of the Grosvenor House.

The design focuses on several unique environments: a dramatic, illuminated bar with an all-day soft seating area, a stylish dining room, an outdoor terrace, a wine room, private dining and a dramatic 10 meter wide chalkboard with large scale renderings and daily specials. The menu transitions from a modern, fast paced business breakfast to a classic steakhouse menu available in lunch and dinner portions. A robust selection of international wines by the glass complement a list of approachable as well as rare and boutique selections of bourbon and highly trained mixologists prepare modern twists on classic cocktails. The all-day bar menu features sandwiches, appetizers, finger foods and small plates and is anchored in seasonal and sustainable fare.

The JW Steakhouse interior design embodies the core tenets of the concept by delivering a stylish, yet unpretentious environment that is both comfortable and sophisticated. Sturdy, hand-crafted dining room furniture compliments a dramatic 10 meter wide chalkboard-style menu board that anchors a feature wall. At the entrance, the Bourbon Bar draws guests in with a dramatic, internally illuminated back bar with dedicated niches for a collection of small batch bourbons.
